Machismo

Since I live in Latin America, I decided to touch on the idea of "machismo," especially because my experience with it in Ecuador isn't what I thought it would be. First I'd like to give the stereotypical definition, though.

Beauty Tips from the Amazon

Welcome to our first blog series, everyone! I've decided to start things off with something that's familiar to all of us: health and beauty. But here we're going to give things a little twist and a shake. That hopefully won't break anything...

For those of you who know me, you should realize how weird it is that I'm going to write a blog series on beauty tips. I don't wear makeup. I shower less than once a day while living in the rainforest (we won't say exactly how often). Though someday I am going to be a famous fashion designer, I don't dress like it. So what da heck is this going to be about?

The idea started when I realized I had done some things to make myself LESS beautiful (stay tuned to future posts...), specifically, this:

That icky picture never should have happened to me. And it won't happen to you, either, because I'm going to tell you how to avoid it. Hopefully not too many of these posts will come from my mistakes...

This is going to be health and beauty in the nitty gritty of daily life. You may want a seat belt for this...
